Situated in Austin, 500 metres from Shoal Beach, Austin Proper Hotel, a Member of Design Hotels features accommodation with free bikes, private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. This hotel is everting you would expect and more from the Design Hotel Group. It's ineriors are exquisitely decorated with every attention given to detail. To compliment the interiors were the exceptional service of the staff. They where attentive, friendly and always helpful. Even our kids agreed that this was the best hotel they have ever been to. The facilities where excellent and we may just have had the best Margaritas we've ever tasted at the pool bar! In the evenings the lobby lounge turned into a vibrant hang out for guest and locals, which we loved. Even though we did not join in every night, it was wonderful to come back after a day of shopping or sightseeing to experience a lively atmosphere that was welcoming. Will we go back? Most definitely! It is after all, a proper hotel.

This is literally my favourite hotel I have EVER stayed at. This hotel will be my first and only choice every time I come back to Austin (which is often). Everyone was extremely friendly, I loved the retro vibe, the pool was great, and was everything I needed. We did the queen bed and public washroom.. we were slightly sceptical about this … but it couldn’t have went any better!!

Fairmont Austin offers accommodation located 100 metres from Austin Convention Center. This property is located a short distance from Capitol Building and Frank Erwin Center - University of Texas. The staff was so nice! The room was clean and spotless. Loved it!

Hyatt Place Austin Downtown offers air-conditioned accommodation in Austin. Everything was superb, from the central downtown location to the amazing selection of food during breakfast. Everyone on the staff was super helpful and nice! Absolutely recommend it and would stay here in heartbeat again

Wish I would have an extra day or two. It was a bit confusing when the pool was actually open but that was my only feedback.

The hotel arranged me a tour - it was an incredible experience. The hotel gave me a bike and the receptionost suggested where to go. It was the most enjoyable stay in a hotel I ever had.
