Only 200 metres from Solis Theatre, Hotel Palacio offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in central Montevideo. The Harbour Market in the old city is 1 km away. The hotel was in a great location not far from the port. The building was interesting with a lovely old-fashioned lift and a terrace with great views. The beds were incredibly comfortable with good quality bedding and the showers were hot. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly. We hugely enjoyed our stay.

Great location, two blocks from the waterfront and central to the old city. Several nice design touches in the room. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and quite helpful staff. My son got bit by a dog in Buenos Aires and needed to get his third rabies vaccine in Montevideo. The staff made phone calls for us and found out the hospital we needed to visit to get his vaccine and the hours they were open for this. She was a real life-saver in a complicated situation for us. Would gladly stay here again.

Located in Montevideo, Puertovideo provides accommodation with rooftop pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. The apartment was well-furnished and it had a functional and well-equipped kitchenette. Towels and bedding were pleasantly scented. The internet connection was surprisingly fast. Although the immediate surroundings left something to be desired, the port and historic city center were conveniently just a short walk away.

Boasting a shared lounge, FAUNA Montevideo is situated in Montevideo, less than 1 km from Independencia Square. Fauna was our favorite stay while traveling through Uruguay. The room was cozy and impressive. The space is exceptional and the hosts were so kind. They helped me book a vineyard tour and always was responsive with helpful tips. While they had coffee and fruit for breakfast, we didn't mind since we wanted to explore local cafes. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, particularly couples visiting Montevideo and I hope to be back some day!
