The guesthouse is situated close to Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace, making it a good spot to explore this side of Kyoto. We had a lovely two-night stay and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our room was cozy with a charming small garden. Kayoko-san treated us to special teas in the evening, which was a delightful surprise after a day of exploring the city.

The perfect stay! The place is wonderful and looks as a typical Japanese house. The owners are incredibly kind, they welcomed me in the best way ever, explaining me everything about the stay and giving me tips about the city of Kyoto. They can speak many languages as Japanese, English, Italian, Spanish and probably more so the communication wouldn’t be a problem for you. The hotel is located in a very quite are of the city just outside the city-center so perfect to sleep in a white place but also well connected with the touristic areas with buses. The common area is just amazing, about cleaning is perfect and the structure is very technological! If I’ll be back to Kyoto, sure I’ll stay here again, I recommend 100%. The location is good. Near the shopping center and stations. There’s also a 7/11 nearby. The shared bathroom is always clean and has available amenities for use. There’s also food stalls and restaurants which are all walking distance. I also live that they have a massager in the common room which I used especially after a long walk.

English communication is good. The room is big and beautiful. There is a washing machine. Very nice personal, the owner is so kind asking whether we will need a ride to the Kyoto train station. The tatami + floor heating + Japanese floor mat is so comfortable even in winter! I really enjoy the shared bathing. (You still bath privately, no worry.)
