The place has been designed to such a high finish and while the service was brilliant, none of the staff are in any way pretentious - it was all just very relaxed and delightful.

Mención especial merece el recepcionista que nos recibió la primera noche, amable, servicial y simpático a más no poder. Preciosa casa georgiana, típicamente decorada, en una bonita y tranquila calle a 2 pasos del centro. Buen desayuno, lo sirven ellos, no es self service, muy bien atendido por camareras simpatiquísimas. Precio elevado, pero es lo normal en UK.

We booked an overnight stay last minute. Excellent location to visit Lydford Gorge, also the old church and cemetary next door are worthwhile visiting. Very cozy room! We extremely enjoyed being offered fresh milk for the afternoon tea upon arrival and finding a milk bottle in front of our room the next the morning. This was unique for all the places we stayed at. The restaurant offers tables inside and outside, even though strongly recommended we had not reserved a table for dinner, but it was made possible for us to eat at the restaurant. Good quality food! Worth the price.
