The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. De familiekamer en badkamer (met bad) waren heerlijk ruim. Goede bedden en fijne stoelen in het erkertje waar vanuit je goed zicht hebt op één van de winkelstraten van Ambleside.

The Westbourne is een prachtig pension in de rustige omgeving onder Biskey Howe in het Lake District. De slaapkamers zijn voorzien van een inloopdouche, luxe toiletartikelen en grote zachte... Sue & Andre were exceptional hosts & presented accomodation that was very comfortable, providing everything we needed. Central location in easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, the lake & pier. On-site easy parking was a bonus. Andre helped us with walking options, Elterwater & the Langdale valley were a photographers dream. Thanks so much for adding to my memorable holiday with my daughter.

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. Excellent accommodation, smart, clean and great hosts/staff. Very central and accessible from the train station too, although it has its own private parking - a real plus. Very good breakfast, with probably the best bacon rolls (amongst many other options) that we've ever had! We will return for sure. Fully recommended.

Dit prachtige Victoriaanse huis ligt op een rustige locatie tussen Windermere en Bowness, op slechts 1,6 km van het meer Windermere. The place is very quaint and I loved how each room is themed differently on explorers and nature. Also, loved the fact that we were welcomed to some warm mulled wine( it was freezing outside) Also, the breakfast is amazing !

The Old Rectory ligt in Coniston, op 18 km van Lake Windermere, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. A fairytale place. The owners are really nice and helpful. High quality breakfast. Sheeps all around, peaceful. A postcard. Clean. Really recommended

The Old Mill Inn is gelegen in Dearham, op 26 km van Buttermere, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. Very clean and spacious, attractive room, huge comfortable bed with good quality bed linen, big TV, spacious bathroom, large shower cubicle and great towels, first meal in the restaurant was delicious (beef bourguignon), good local ale at a reasonable price, breakfast was mixed but full English was very good. Dark haired lady on duty on our first night was lovely, friendly and very professional (apologies for not having a name). Contact via the app was good and the code access worked well. We enjoyed our stay.

Dalegarth Guesthouse Portinscale is gelegen in Keswick, op 5,8 km van Derwentwater, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een bar. An absolute little gem of a place!! Well where to start.. when I say this is an absolute little gem I really mean it, and that is all down to Clare and Craig who run the place to absolute perfection! They really put everything into making sure that their guests are well looked after and that nothing is too much trouble. Firstly, ahead of arrival, you get a link to a web page (the guidebook) with all the information on that you could possibly need during your stay; from check in and out procedures, to local information on eating out, car parking, walking, shopping, activities, to everything and anything else in-between! I loved this! The area is beautiful, with gorgeous views from the house and the village is so peaceful. Just far enough away from Keswick but close enough to get to easily and enjoy the town. We really love Keswick anyway, and Derwentwater too, so the location is just perfect for us! On arrival we were met by Craig who directed us to our parking spot and offered us help with our bags if it was needed. We then headed around to the house and met Clare, whom showed us around. There's a lovely lounge area to relax in, and a bar where you can get a drink on an evening if you wish to. There is tea and coffee in each room with UHT milks, but what I loved was that fresh milk is available as needed too - you just take a little jug to your room from the milk in the fridge! There's also other drinks like hot chocolate, fruit teas, decaf drinks here to help yourself to. The room was lovely and really clean, with comfortable beds too. Smart TV in the room and free WIFI access were a bonus, although we didn't waste much time with technology! If you want any advice or tips on where to go or what to do, don't hesitate to ask Craig - he's full of information and more than happy to help! Clare's cooking skills are amazing too! Her flapjack is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts - set us up well for our days out!
