Facility was clean and newly renovated (I could tell it’s new with fresh wood scent) Excellent location to visit Niyodo-Blue. Convenience store was right next to it. AND the most of all, the host was super friendly and full of info. I could not ask for more.

We brought the groceries for dinner up from the supermarket in Yusuhara and prepared it in the guesthouse. There are no shops nearby - best to prepare in advance and make sure you have what you need. A delicious breakfast was provided and waiting for us in the fridge when we got up in the morning. We prepared the eggs and enjoyed everything with the fresh-baked bread.

This is a great, affordable place to stop along the shikoku pilgrimage route. I stayed 2 nights. The nights before and after temple 35, walking without a bag for that day was so nice and gave my legs a mild break with plenty of time to do laundry, clean, and reorganize my gear. Since it's so affordable it makes a great place for a rest day. Walking distance to a great grocery store and conbinis.
