We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful and interesting place. Les Eyzies is steeped in pre-history - you can see 17,000 year old cave paintings right there in the village. Our house at Domain de Comtesse de Dordogne was beautifully furnished and fully-equipped to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. The houses are set among extensive grounds, with a river, a fishing lake and a waterfall – birdsong is everywhere. Each house has a well-furnished shaded patio, with barbeque facilities and we ate outside a lot. Although other houses were occupied while we were there, we hardly saw anybody, and we had the pool to ourselves. The owners, Jean Claude and Lizette, were very friendly and helpful, both before and during our visit. We didn’t have a car with us, so it was useful to have a supermarket and bakery just minutes’ walk away. The house we stayed in was light and airy with a huge modern living room giving beautiful views over the grounds. We thoroughly recommend this place.

Easy tram straight into Bordeaux Central. Our dog was able to use the garden safely. Nicole and Jean Marc were very kind to mail me a couple of things I forgot and left behind

Zoo de Bordeaux-Pessac se nachází 13 km odtud a Basilique de Saint-Michel 13 km. we loved the location. perfectly quiet, green woodpeckers on the trees around around us, each gypsy caravan was very private and secluded. we brought our own breakfast and dinner. the cooking facilities were as described which meant we managed perfectly. the bed was very comfortable, everywhere spotlessly clean and obviously loved and cared for. The spacious shower was an unexpected bonus.
