Everything is new, clean, tidy and modern. The kitchen is well-equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I am also glad to find a female dorm with the bathroom inside the room. They even have an extra toilet so you have 2 toilets for a room of six. It also has a good location, 5 minute walk to the supermarket and bus station. The port is also nearby. I forgot to mention that the hostel has a back yard and wonderful views. One side you can see mount Pico and the other is Sao Jorge island.

Super clean and everything seems newly decorated, this place was decorated with great care. Lockers in the dorm room (bring a padlock or they offer to give you one), views of the mountain and a great kitchen, lounge and garden. Location was central and 2 mins to the port.

Engenho Hostel berlokasi Lajes do Pico. Semua unit dilengkapi TV layar datar dengan saluran satelit, kulkas, mesin kopi, shower, pengering rambut, dan meja kerja. Everything was very good. Nice room with comfy beds. Downstairs there is a Kitchen and Livingroom were you can do your cooking or Watch TV etc. Close to everything in town.

The location is amazing and the staff is extremely accommodating. I had an amazing time here and the staff were always so quick to make a great suggestion for what I could do around the island , or provide help which made my stay that much better.
