Boasting an outdoor saltwater pool, free on-site parking and BBQ facilities, Port Douglas Motel is just 3 minutes' walk from Four Mile Beach. In summary everything went well - it was a wonderful experience overall! Firstly the vibe of the place - this is not your standard cookie cutter resort in PD. This has a very unique style with massive murals, funky coloured furniture, and all the comforts. Uniquely, in the pool area there's the facilities of a standard kitchen providing guests the option to prepare their meals (Coles is just a short walk) and relax in a shaded dining area poolside. The pool area had a calming waterfall and it was great to hang out and experience peace and tranquility. As a solo traveller it was great to meet other guests of all nationalities and enjoy each other's company. Staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging my return transportation to Cairns at very short notice - Ruth you're a superstar! The ownership has transformed a standard '60's vintage Motel into a truly unique property - hats off to them!

Kingsford Smith Motel offers modern and spacious rooms, just 10 minutes’ drive from Brisbane Airport. Free cable TV, free Wi-Fi and free car parking are provided. Our room was beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable, from the beautiful furnishings to the luxurious bed with pillows to die for. The bathroom was very functional and lovely to look at. The complimentary water in the fridge was greatly appreciated as were the very nice toiletries. The airconditioner was whisper quiet.
