Dating from the 17th century, this hotel is located within walking distance from Mane and just 4.5 km from Forcalquier. The hotel is very nice, with attention to detail, and the garden is well-maintained and very spacious. The owners are very nice people and careful with the guests. The pool is very clean with a nice bar fully equipped, nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here. Tip for other guests: Close to the hotel is a store with diverse manufactured local products in the area, from pottery to honey, wine, jewelry, and more.

Located 1 km from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, this hotel has a large collection of objects from the 1950's and paintings by Maurice Vagh-Weinmann. It’s a very charming place decorated with objects making us travel through time.

This Provencal-style hotel has a floral terrace and is only 500 metres from the village of Moustiers Sainte Marie. Surrounded by nature, Hotel Les Restanques De Moustiers offers panoramic views. Beautiful location. We stayed 5 nights. We had a very pleasant welcome and the staff were available to tell us about local walks and highlights. We loved the town centre and the bars and restaurants there. The hotel is a short drive to the bridge on the lac de st croix and where there are lots of hiking trails and you can rent kayaks. The surroundings are incredible. We loved our stay and breakfast was delightful. We'd highly recommend and would stay here again. It's the perfect base for an adventure holiday in the Verdon.

Located 1 km from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie village centre, Le Colombier is just 5 km from Sainte-Croix Lake. This Provencal house features a swim spa, 2 hot tubs and tennis court. Free WiFi is provided.... Staff was friendly and helpful. We were three friends traveling, so the twin beds, in adjacent rooms were perfect. The description did not mention a refrigerator in the room - there was a minibar which we could use for our food/drinks -- so that was a bonus. Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable beds....

Situated in a former convent in Mane, built in 1613, Le Couvent des Minimes Hôtel & Spa L'Occitane RELAIS & CHATEAUX has a period facade and a terraced garden with botanical plants. The hotel is a wonderful conversion of the ancient convent. It is clear that mountains of money, but also tons of taste, were expended in achieving it. The result is sublime: like living in a beautiful château, except comfortable. As for the spa, it is superb, the best we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a few). It would impress a Roman emperor (if there were more slaves). We didn’t benefit from the huge outdoor pool or the terraces, since we were there in winter, but they would be a delight in warm weather. Someone has done a terrific job in assembling and training a rather young staff of charming and intelligent people. From the parking attendants to the receptionists, and from the waiters and waitresses to the exceptional sommelière (Ms. Pauline), there wasn't a one that we wouldn’t happily adopt and take home with us. The buffet breakfast: simply the best (really). The hotel has its own full-time boulanger, as well as a pastry chef. Okay, full disclosure: the coffee could be better. There is (of course) a gourmet restaurant (we can all imagine what that’s like), as well as a “bistro" on the premises. (Fortunately, since the local village doesn’t offer much at all.) The bistro serves mainly fanciful haute cuisine; we would have preferred that it be more authentically bistro-like, with some classic bistro-type food (steaks, daubes, foie gras, magret, confit de canard…yes, maybe even french fries!). It goes to show: even paradise can stand to be tweaked a bit.

Le Moulin Du Château is a former olive oil mill, located in Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon, Provence. It offers rooms with satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. We loved the country feel and the location of this family run boutique hotel. The host welcomed us warmly and offered us to join for a 3 course dinner which was absolutely superb. It's all organic food and prepared with attention to detail. We also ordered the organic breakfast in the morning which we enjoyed in the garden. The food was absolutely delicious !! We are sad that we were only able to stay for 1 night which was definitely too short. There are plenty of things to do in this area.

The hosts were fantastic & looked after us very well. They both speak good English. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Dinners in the restaurant were freshly prepared & delicious. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore all the Verdun region & Castellane is a short but spectacular drive away. It’s in a quiet location & there’s easy & we felt secure parking for the motorbikes right outside.
