This elegant mansion from the 19th-century building located in the heart of the Médoc area welcomes you in a vineyard which has been planted with vines for more than 3 centuries. The location overlooking the vineyards was superb. The pool was clean and enjoyable. The room was out of this world, very large, and a bathroom the size of most chain hotel rooms. The staff was very accommodating. We opted to dine on the terrace overlooking the vineyards and the staff prepared a charcuterie platter along with a bottle of wine from the Chateau and delivered it to us on our terrace. The manager also dropped us off at another Chateau for a tour and lunch that was nearby.

L'Ecume des Jours is located in Soulac-sur-Mer, on the roundabout just below the Soulac Basilica, a 5-minute walk from the sea and a 10-minute walk from the train station. Breakfast was awesome with fresh yogurt and homemade marmalade. Service was very nice and efficient. The location near the principal pedestrian street and close to the beach and restaurants was a wonderful experience.
