We wanted solitude with access to hikes, mountains, highlands, waterfalls and glaciers, and we got it. The breakfast was also delicious. The staff is very kind and accommodating. (We love your hospitality, Judith! And it was a pleasure to briefly meet the owner too!)

Although it seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere, the location was perfect for us! We spent the day going up to Reykholt and Husafell, then stayed at Hotel Varmaland before heading to Snaefellsness Peninsula the next day. It was a beautiful hotel; the views from the dining area were fabulous. Food was excellent.
