The staff were really nice, we also got a free room upgrade to an ocean view suite - which was lovely! The food was really nice and healthy, and even though it rained most of the stay, we had an amazing time.

Aya Beach is a little slice of heaven! I can’t say enough about the delightful staff and how friendly and helpful they were. We accidentally took our key with us when we left - we are so sorry. Thanks for organizing a pick-up in Stone Town! The Office staff, cleaning staff and dining staff were all so kind, friendly and generous. The room we had was lovely! Spacious and cool, lots of room to sit outside and enjoy the garden. It was cleaned daily and our bed decorated! Mosquito nets weren’t even necessary - rooms are sprayed daily for bugs. The pool area is delightful and the dining room has the best view anywhere. We ate all our meals there and enjoyed everything, especially the fresh local fish. When the tide comes in the swimming is wonderful. Don’t let the hour and a half drive from town put you off, it is fascinating! Lots of little villages, people working in the fields and rice paddies, plenty to look at.

My exceptional experience all started prior to check in. I was contacted by Sophia inquiring about my early arrival and transport from the airport to the hotel. She made sure all my needs are met. This hotel is located in the south west of the Zanzibar Island, and away from the busy tourist area. The bungalows are exceptionally well designed and very comfortable. I felt like living in a tree house. Its clean and the staff are very responsive and friendly. The food at the restaurant is exceptionally great and made of locally grown ingredients. The price was amazing, it was even better than we expected. friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere. The hotel is well maintained. rooms have local. The breakfast was good we had chance to get on breakfast zanzibar bread (andazi and kalimati)
