I will start off by saying that I've been to over 30 countries. This is genuinely I think the best place I've stayed in any of my travels. There are buses from the airport to really close by as well as to downtown Reykjavík, so it's very convenient to get here. The homeowners were also very friendly and very helpful. There was also good parking options. As for the runs there is a kitchen and the bathroom is very very clean, and so was the bed itself. The view is also incredible. Although the view of the outside may seem basic, it is also such a calming and relaxing environment to look at. There are also signs with information about the near supermarket and hours of operation that was helpful. Overall it was very cozy and peaceful ✌️😌

The only improvement I have is maybe a slightly larger blanket, that I really can't think of anything else to say for negatives.

For the price you pay this accom is excellent value - super clean, sufficiently roomy, and close to the airport. You are paying budget prices but it doesn't feel super budget when you are there. Would def recomment

It was clean, room nice and comfortable, lovely view from the communal room/dining room. Bathroom spacious and clean too although the shower lacked power.

We had read reviews about the wonderful choice of breakfast but this is where we were most disappointed. It was stated breakfast is ready at 7am however when we walked in at 7:20 the couple (whom i assume were running the guesthouse on behalf of the owner) were still preparing the fruit, cheeses etc. All that was available to us were standard range of cereals, a small platter of melon, one of cold meat and cheese and some bread. Oh I think there was some muesli. There was an urn with water and slices of lemon but this was not fresh, it was the same water from the night before and it didn't have lid on, and there was some fruit juice. Coffee came from a machine where you had to select type of coffee you wanted however this machine didn't seem to work properly, didn't matter which button you pressed the coffee was the same and it was barely a third of a cup each time and very bitter. The hosts, a young couple, didn't seem like they were enjoying their work and were just going through the motions providing the bare minimum. Unfortunately 2nd week of May it seems the season has barely started in the West Fjords and so few places were open which left us with only 2 places to eat in the evening, a diner or the Fosse Hotel

We loved everything about this apartment: the location, easy check-in, communication with the host, well equipped kitchen… perfect for our time in Reykjavik.

A different blinder in the living room would be good, the person sleeping on the sofa bed sleeps literally in daylight… that can be tough.

Kim was very friendly and made my 3 year old son really comfortable around the horses and made sure he had his first Icelandic horse ride.

Location and view from room was good. Dinner on their restaurant was excellent.

Room 18 backed onto kitchen, and there was constant banging which made jump. Probably a door closing. It shook the bed lights on the wall. Also, shower drain was severely blocked flooding the bathroom. Breakfast was below average, running out of milk altogether, same for tomatoes, cucumber etc. Only 1 staff member on that could see. They need to lift their game somewhat.

1/ There was no plug in the wash basin, so water could be held for shaving, washing etc. 2/There was NO iron (or board) even though it was stated that was included. 3/There was NO safe, even though it was stated it was included. 4/ There are NO grooves in the shower floor, consequently it is VERY dangerous and No handrail, even though the room (104), appeared to be catering for a handicapped person. 5/ The stupid blocks of wood, for bedside tables are ridiculous
