Positive section of review
We really enjoyed our stay, first of all because of staffs and their kind hospitality, especially Mr. Umit (front staff) who was so kind to us, and arranged everything as per our requests. Great view and beautiful breakfast on Rooftop restaurant. The hotel is located in a good area, not far from important attractions. We love to come back in the future and will recommend this hotel to our friends.

Room was really clean, which I value the most. Hotel is located in touristic area of Istanbul with lot of restaurants near by. Also, some of the most famous touristic spots like Aya Sofia, Egyptian bazar.. are in a walking distance from the hotel, which is really good thing if you are there for a few days.

Room size was a bit modest, but we didn't travel to Istanbul to spend too much time in a hotel so it was not a big issue for us.

The room was really clean and spacious and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Stepping outside to the terrace you can watch the balloons go by and it was definitely magical. They serve a large Turkish breakfast spread every morning! If we ever come back we would stay here again.

You will need to use the stairs to get to most room. This is a general problem with all the hotels in the area - if you need easy access to room you should ask for it as there is only 1.

The location of the accommodation was great, the room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was quite rich.

Although Booking allows to request accommodation for kids and also asks for their age, when finishing the booking, they are regarded as adults. In order to overcome any potential issue and to check whether the hotel could accommodate our families, I have previously sent a message asking to split us in the 2 rooms booked, as follows: 1st room - 2 adults + 1 kid and 2nd room - 2 adults + 2 kids. Our request was accepted and we have received a written confirmation in this regard. We arrived quite late in the evening, after a flight and with tired and hungry kids. When reaching the reception, the night staff was rude and told us that the rooms we have booked could accommodate 3 adults per room. We mentioned that we have requested 2 adults + 2 children to be accommodated in a room and it was approved as such by their representatives, but they kept on telling us that they do not know who from their side approved our request and answered our email. They even suggested we should fix this situation by contacting Booking. The whole situation quickly escalated and we were requested to pay a supplementary fee in order to be moved to another type of room that could accommodate 2 adults + 2 children. We did so, because we didn't want to ruin our whole vacation, but no one from Akka actually took responsibility for the situation. Poor onboarding & client service.

Paper cups and wet sugar on the table in the kitchen. Refuse to take a shower.Nobody is there to ask any questions. The bed sheet was not clean.

Not much clean, only 1 bottle of water provided for 2 night per 2 persons, it’s very poor hospitality. Broken shower and door. Limit toilet paper.
