Although Booking allows to request accommodation for kids and also asks for their age, when finishing the booking, they are regarded as adults. In order to overcome any potential issue and to check whether the hotel could accommodate our families, I have previously sent a message asking to split us in the 2 rooms booked, as follows: 1st room - 2 adults + 1 kid and 2nd room - 2 adults + 2 kids. Our request was accepted and we have received a written confirmation in this regard. We arrived quite late in the evening, after a flight and with tired and hungry kids. When reaching the reception, the night staff was rude and told us that the rooms we have booked could accommodate 3 adults per room. We mentioned that we have requested 2 adults + 2 children to be accommodated in a room and it was approved as such by their representatives, but they kept on telling us that they do not know who from their side approved our request and answered our email. They even suggested we should fix this situation by contacting Booking. The whole situation quickly escalated and we were requested to pay a supplementary fee in order to be moved to another type of room that could accommodate 2 adults + 2 children. We did so, because we didn't want to ruin our whole vacation, but no one from Akka actually took responsibility for the situation. Poor onboarding & client service.

The location of the accommodation was great, the room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was quite rich.

This hotel offers Hammam and spa in another Akka Lush hotel, 7min away walk. It's not worth the time, very basic and small.

People were friendly, everything was perfekt. The nearby bars was loud at night, it's true but what can you except in the middle of a metropolis?

Stuff was a little bit less reactive with not so great level of english, but it's managable.

Great location, clean new rooms, after fresh renovation. Despite the fact, that there are different buildings everything is easy to access. You are warm-welcomed by the staff and daily room-cleaning is a nice bonus, yet be aware of the deposit they take in advance you are planning to spend something on your room charge. Don't forget the breakfast! It is really great value for the cost.

It was a very comfortable room with upgraded bathroom. We had a nice view of the city and the location in Taksim square was good. Lot of restaurants close by. The hotel served breakfast in their sister concern across the street and we enjoyed the food ! The train/ tram station was within walking distance which was convenient.

The furniture in the living room felt quite dated and maybe not too clean but the bed and bathroom were great!

The room set up was really cozy, the building was quite nice, and the included spa (in the nearby sister hotel) was a really nice perk. The included breakfast has many options.

The only, but serious problem we faced was the noise. First placed in the ground floor, we could hear everyone getting in and out, going up the staircase, the doors etc. When moved on the first floor, sounds of others vanished, fortunately, but during the weekend, the noise from the close bars was unbearable. So, I didn't manage to sleep well three of six nights, which really made me unhappy.

Hotel was renovated, rooms were well decorated and comfortable, really nice bed - mattress and pillows. Bathroom was clean but had some moldy spots, but as this is very common and difficult to handle, so no minus points for that. Most of the staff were very polite and nice. The hotel is a breath away from Istiklal street and close to galata tower, so on a great spot for a first time in Istanbul. Breakfast was pleasant too.
