2 kinds of pillows. My wife liked the pillows, but I found them extremely soft. Also, the coffee machine in the lobby is great, but it would have been great if a coy machine was in the room.

the shower (no door or curtain) was a little messy; easy for water to splash out.

I must admit there was only one little thing, the cleaning ladies in the morning in the appartment just right next to ours were so loud, talking very loudly in the corridor and just loud with everything, we got instantly awake in the early morning, but it might be just a one time occurance :)

Such a cosy clean hotel, and the staff, o mama mia so polite and helping. Perfect communication and understanding of the needs of their guests, 10 stars!

This neighborhood is in transition, with a great deal of construction in the immediate vicinity. Thankfully I was not disturbed by construction noise, although my room faced the street. Wifi network was not very reliable. And poor coverage for Deutsche Telekom in this vicinity.

Superb customer service at the Metropol. Loved the convenience of storing my luggage after I checked out. Also enjoyed the amenities such as the automatic expresso machine and the refreshing cucumber citrus mint water. Room was comfortable and nicely appointed. Not such a fan of the neighborhood, but the location was convenient for my travel logistics.

Like all central districts near train stations, some of the people in the street can be a bit rough-looking ... but I never felt in peril.

Easy access to main Munich rail station, just 1.5 blocks away. Also quite handy for sightseeing. Rooms were large and quiet and the staff - family-owned and run, I think - were lovely. They had a beer fridge in the lobby and one of the staff insisted on showing me how to pour a weisse beer properly (I already knew, but still ...)

Pillows were a bit flat, but not a huge deal. Everything was very convenient. I kind of liked that the room wasn't serviced everyday, that was fine.

Breakfast was fantastic, great variety and fresh. The breads were fresh and the baked goods changed daily. Loved the juicer, make your own fresh juice every morning. Liked the self serve stations to get extra towels, toilet paper etc.

There was building construction right across the street. Not super loud and no fault of the hotel.

Extremely comfortable stay on the first stop of our Germany trip. Front desk staff was great, genuinely super friendly people. Parking the car was not an issue. Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. The wall mounted radio/ Bluetooth music speaker was a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing.

I had a room on the ground floor looking out to the car park. Fortunately I was staying for just one night so I could live with that uninspiring view.

Hotel Metropol is well located: within walking distance from Munich Hbf, Marienplatz, close to many cafes and restaurants. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was a simple selection but good enough for me.

The construction across the road can be quite noisy starting early in the morning.

Everything! Convenient location and very friendly staff. Hotel is very clean. Every staff I have met is very friendly and helpful. Close to the center and steps from the Hbf the main train station. Everything is close by. Good breakfast too! The hotel is also very close to tour meetup points.
