we had to shower in the bath, and in our room there was only a big shower head from the ceiling, no hand shower. The bath plug didn't work, even after staff came in to check. The restaurant is good food-wise, but the room doubles as the breakfast room and looks messy with the tables on the side and dirty table cloths thrown over them. There was also an unplugged plate warming device left on the side, which, if i was a hotel manager, I would find totally unacceptable.

It's easy to see the hotel was once grand but could now very much do with some modern re-styling. However, the location is perfect and the view from the front is simply amazing. We didn't have a seaview room, but it was nice, with two separate beds, as we requested. Staff were very welcoming, lovely and responsive. Breakfast was fine, with lots of choice.

The hotel is lovely the only downside is the view we had first time was the car park second time was a roof with air vents on it not the best but wouldn’t stop us from staying again staff excellent and friendly would highly recommend

The staff from the minute we walked in were outstanding. I was organising a friends 60th birthday celebration. The staff allowed me to organise our tables etc in the restaurant & put banners up in our friends room even though it hadn't been sorted by the cleaners

Room was very warm - but there was a ceiling fan.

Quality hotel with exceptional staff in excellent location. Fridge in room was a nice surprise! Windows opened properly too which is not always the case in large hotels due to elf n safety!

Breakfast dining room like a dungeon with a lovely sunny room closed off . Decor could be nicer . Breakfast could have been better . Staff were lovely though

Just the lack of air conditioning, and the windows need attention. Couldn't open one of them. There was a massive fan in the room though, but it was too big and too loud.

Pillow too soft. Breakfast was hit and miss. Staff seemed run off their feet. The cooked food was good , but the continental food was always missing and you had to ask for item's to be replenished, including basics like plates and cups.

The room was clean and well presented. It was extremely warm upon arrival despite the radiators being off and the window open. Hotels facilities are good and its easy top get into town from there.

The screen preventing an external view from our window was a bit disappointing.especially since it needed cleaning out.

Paid £20 for earlier check in, got to the room and wrong one, took an hour to sort out so lost the first hour of early check in! No refund or complimentary drink offered

We upgraded to a sea view room, however the bathroom was ok but the shower was almost impossible to get to a comfort temperature, think it needs updating. Also it was the type which pours over your head an no shower cap was provided, as we paid for an executive room this was disappointing. Also the window needed attention we struggled to open it.

Staff were excellent always pleasant and helpful. Food was good

The sea view room on the first floor as u can't open the windows and no separate shower .like the room we had last year on the second floor with the sea view and separate shower and u can open the windows for fresh air.

Loved the hotel. Just hill to much to walk .
