We were told when checking in that Breakfast was served at 730 and so on. They implied that it was included. When we checked out it wa discoverd it was NOT included and we were charged about $12 per person per day. The cost was reasonable. The buffet was nicely done so the complaint is minor. The Booking.com reservation did not say breakfast was included so the error was ours. However, I feel it would have helped us to state on the reservation NOT INCLUDED or the front desk at the hotel also explaining that.

We especially liked the size of our room (meaning it was comparatively larger than most). We had a nice city view. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Hotel is conveniently located on Porto side of river in and near shopping and restaurants.

The lobby could use some renovation and need more room and furniture so guests have place to hang out in case of bad weather and just simply to relax .

The area below the main dining area is poorly run and the staff not so quite attentive. lovely room but something lacking The evening menu for the dining room is pretty poor and basic but we had recommendations from the desk staff and the choices to end out were exceptional

The breakfasts were lovely plenty of choice in the main area and excellent alternatives on the menu board with omelettes and selection of different coffees The staff were very very good in the breakfast area and the main person unfortunately we did not catch her name in charge of proceedings was so polite and nothing was too much trouble for her always a cheerful smile and always very attentive

We had to change rooms 3 times due to air conditioning problems but we were upgraded to a suite.

The location couldn’t have been better. The staff Were outstanding and all spoke English. Luis was most. helpful. Restaurant and bar on site. Able to walk to everything.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was clean and spacious. Great location - Sao Bento train station, Mercado Bolhao, shops, restaurants, Luis bridge were all within walking distance. I would stay here again.

The shower water would get very hot and cold quite frequently. Didn’t have European coffee machine that grinds fresh coffee beans.

Staff were welcoming & helpful. Lovely room overlooking the neighborhood and was remarkably quiet at night given that the hotel is located in the city center. Excellent breakfast.

Our room was very comfortable and the situation of the hotel was convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were really helpful and cheerful.

The breakfast was a little disorganised. We received no menu or intro on our first morning so were unaware what was available to order.

The location was fantastic and room was extremely clean. We received a welcome drink and custard tarts on arrival, which was a nice touch.

The location was perfect - it was extremely walkable to so many great neighborhoods of Porto. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. Our room was very comfortable.

Very slow bar service and not helpful staff at breakfast, no explanation of how anything worked but lots of checking your room number off their list. Shower hot to cold all the time, not good.

Luis was very helpful in reception, the others less so. Easy to walk from hotel to sights. Room good.

Room smaller than expected. A 5* hotel should have better coffee making facilities in the room than a kettle and 2 sachets of coffee and two pods of milk. Expected a Nespresso type machine.
