Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff was really kind and helpfull. They were helpfull with everytinh, they have told a lot of usefully staffs about exploring the city. The cleaneness of the place was excellent.

Everything was wonderful! Zeyn Hotel is a beautiful place, all so clean and close to every point of interest in town, is right in the centre, the manager is more than friendly, and he was very helpful, and they give us the best advice for what to do and where to go . I will highly recomended because is the best option for everyone who want a few days to visit Istanbul!

The residents sometimes indiscriminately park in the entrance to the property but generally not an issue as staff help with luggage when Thai happens
The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank u Azad and Mahmud for all your help. Area is semi-residential and in the historic area. Roads and some walls 100s of years old. Has an interesting vibe.

The toilet had an unusual configuration (due to the building constraints) and you had to walk past a wet floor to get to the toilet, after a shower. The food was good but some variety (like having omlets occasionally, or plain sausages) would have been welcomed.
The customer experience was amazing. They anticipated our needs with recommendations, snaks for the road, scarf to use in mosques, even cat food. The room was very clean.

The breakfast was huge. Only for recomendation, a little bit European breakfast too.
Very pleasant and cute small hotel. The location is perfect. The staff, the best one! They are friendly, smile, always ready to help you. They gave us a public transport card and small gift magnet. We will be back at this hotel very soon.

Everything was more than perfect! The Staff is phenomenal, ready to assist you in any matter. The receptionists Fahrid and Azad are awesome guys and can help you with everything! The owner is also very nice and welcoming person! The location is great, even the sea view! The breakfast was so diverse and tasty! The room was clean and comfortable! Two thumbs up! Absolutely amazing stay, would recommend to anyone who is visiting Istanbul. The manager and the staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. We got family treatment from them, they showed us every places that was worth visiting and many helpful tips where to buy stuff or where dont. Room was cleaned every day, we got fresh towels every day and we got new bottle of water every day. At reception was staff 24/7, so we felt very safe. They also fullfiled every our desire, like extra blanket and pillow. Breakfast was very traditional a great variaty of Turkish flavors. The most populars sightseeing spots are at walking distance, also near to tram station. Overall like first time Istanbul traveler would recommend 10/10.

The breakfast area is a bit small so it may happen to not find a free table at the peak time which seemed to be ~8.30
The hotel is located few hundreds meters from tourist area of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazar, ... The hotel manager and personnel is very kind and ready to help with information and advices. Breakfast was good with enough choices

The hotel is clean, well maintained and the location is perfect to visit the old town being at a 10 minutes walking distance from Sultanahmet square. The room was tiny but very clear and gets tied every morning, tovels are changed every day as well. Breakfast is served in a room downstairs with plenty of sweet and savoury foods both continental and turkish. The personnel was simply amazing helping us out with transport from/to the airport, a briefing about the best places for sightseeing and a lot of helpful tips and suggestions specially for the hammam cause we wanted to avoid places for tourists and have a real hammam experience.

Everything were OK I will visit Zayn Otel again.
Perfect location only 10 minutes walk from Hagia Sophia, the parking is near the hotel, very good breakfast, clean rooms and the staff were more than perfect. For my next stay in Istanbul I will book again Zayn Otel.

The AC doesn’t cool so much.
