Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOur shower never ran hot or warm which was one of our main motivators for having a deluxe suite. To get down the hill to tell staff late at night was an option. A walk or talkie feature or something to report issues would be great.
We loved the entire experience. We plan on making Under Canvas a part of our future travel plans. We wish we had booked a much longer stay!

United States of AmericaQuality of cocktails. The strawberry margarita was poor. They were poor for the price paid. Being charged $6 for a cup of milk for my toddler. The charge was waived at check out after i mentioned it. It should not have been charged in the first place, at least not $6.
Location and the camp fire. Friendliness of reception staff. Good breakfast options.

United States of AmericaIn the tent to have more larger hooks to hang clothes and towels — Also, shelving on wall close to sink for necessities would be helpful —
All the staff were very nice and accommodating! Our stay will be for sure very memorable — especially seeing my husband light a fire for us in the tent every morning ~ so useful and somewhat fun at the same time. It was very sweet to see friends and families coming together at the central hang out pavilion for fun and relaxation ~ all unplugged! 👍. We will definitely explore UNDER CANVAS again for future travel & fun!!

United States of AmericaThe grassy areas around the tents. The ground is very unsuitable for walking on, especially while unloading and loading your belongs? With this is made me feel like we should be able to park closer to our tents to load and unload. This is really my only gripe.
The mornings are so serene, quiet, and peaceful.

United States of AmericaWe stayed when the weather dipped down to the 20’s at night so we had to keep our wood burning stove going at all times. The staff was so helpful and provided us with plenty of firewood, extra kindling and starters whenever we needed, but I wasn’t able to keep the fire going overnight so we woke up chilly!! It was a bit of a full time job keeping that fire burning but all in all it was a cool experience!
The deluxe tent we stayed in had a shower and toilet, so cool! The king sized bed was so comfy and the blankets were very warm. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and tucked away so you feel like you’re in the wilderness. We loved the ruggedness, but that we could also walk to the main building for hot drinks, food, activities, games and s’mores!! My daughter got to paint rocks and a canvas picture on the evenings we stayed and there was always a schedule of activities and music. The Under Canvas experience and staff made my daughter and I’s GSM trip one to remember!

United States of AmericaFood prices were unreasonably overpriced for what you ordered! We opted to drive down the road and around the corner to eat in town instead.
I enjoyed the activities offered such as board games, cornhole, horseshoes, and of course the smores and bonfire in the evening! The tent was really nice with a comfy bed and a bathroom and had everything you needed! Very nice. The free bottle of water upon check in was a nice touch.

United States of AmericaWell, I know that offering no WiFi is intentional by Under Canvas. But I also had no Xfinity coverage at that place, what made my stay actually very stressful, and requiring multiple trips to Pigeon Forge. And I missed one important emergency contact, what made my stay actually very bad at the end. Disconnection is a state of mind rather than enforcing no physical contact with the world. So if you are running a business, or have workers / students that may need you sparse yet reliable help, this is not place for you. I think that offering an emergency even low-speed WiFi, only in the lobby, would make this place ideal. Who wants to totally disconnect -- will do it. Who needs to make sure everything is running well at home / in the office -- will have a better sleep. I and my wife know we will not be returning to Under Canvas in the future. This stay was too stressful due to lack of so simple thing to offer, especially when you pay $420 per two-person tent per night (+ $50 of taxes) -- it's too much for what you are getting.
Totally wonderful staff. Unusual and pleasant experience with being close to the nature -- like in scout times ;) Close proximity to the National Park. Surprisingly good breakfast and dinner menus. Nice "lobby" tent, with a guitar you are free to play, tables, places to charge your electronics, and complimentary coffee and tea.
