Located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine, 海蔵寺 宿坊 櫻海 provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. What a great find this accomodation has been! After being initially slightly dissapointed we could not get a funaya accommodation, after our actual stay, all I can say is how lucky we were to have experienced the stay here instead. The room was so spaceous, and bright, with all the facilities we would have wanted. The kotatsu has been lovely! All the decoration and overall setting feels so cosy and warm. Exceptional breakfast, with many delicious choices. Lots of flavor and fresh, local ingredients. Loved the pickles and the atsuki dessert! Everything was spot on! Much more than we could have hoped. Wish we could have stayed more to enjoy the room facilities even better.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. The place is beautiful and very central to visit Kyoto, the staff is very friendly and always attentive if we needed anything, a wonderful experience, we will return if possible.

Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. Provides accommodation located 600 metres from the centre of Kyoto and offers an open-air bath and a shared lounge. I can't say enough about this place, the staff were extremely helpful and kind, the room was amazing, and of course the dinner and breakfast.. again, amazing.. One of the highlights of our amazing trip to Japan!

Located within less than 1 km of Gion Shijo Station and a 15-minute walk of Samurai Kembu Kyoto, Ishibekoji Muan provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kyoto. Everything was perfect. Sae san was very helpful with everything. Should have stayed there for more than 1 night :)

Set less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, Gion Oyado Kikutani offers 3-star accommodation in Kyoto and features a garden. Excellent location, nearby key sightseeing spots, beautiful and spacious bedroom and bathroom for a family of three. Very nice staff.

In the Sakyo Ward district of Kyoto, close to Heian Shrine, 明和荘Mei Wa Inn features a garden and a washing machine. This was one of the best place I have stayed in Japan. The space felt like a cozy home. Many amenities were included(hair care, body, toothpaste). Bathroom and toliet is separated, which is great. The young owner was really considerate and gave clear orientation to the house. He also recommended alot of the different restaurants and places to visit. Additionally, answered all questions we had in a quick manner. I would definitely come back again when I am in Kyoto.

It smells really good and the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. The small touches like cakes and towels upon checkin sets it apart from the other places we have stayed at.
