Ideally situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Tsuru no Yu is situated 1 km from Kinrinko Lake, 23 km from Beppu Station and 35 km from Oita Station. Nice quiet corner beside a river with running water sounds, beside a rice Paddy field facing mountain views. Breakfast is great, Japanese style with many small dishes serving. Imagine after a morning spring bath your breakfast is ready to serve you that feeling is so great.

Okuyado Buaiso has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Yufu, 41 km from Oita Bank Dome. There is a private entrance at the ryokan for the convenience of those who stay. This is very unique place to have a relaxing time with family and friends. I enjoyed the breakfast and diner in hotel restaurant. I can say that the level of food is like an art. After you enjoyed the dining there, you will fall in love with this hotel. Enjoying the hot spring is also very special moments. Every staff is very friendly and kind to help the customers. I really enjoyed this hotel and I wish that I could come back to this place in someday. Thank you to all staffs.

Providing city views, Beppu Kannawa Onsen HIROMIYA is located in the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, 26 km from Oita Bank Dome and 5.5 km from Beppu Station. Place was better than expected! Owner was a lovely lady who went out of her way to serve her guests and answer any questions. I wish I had the time to stay for longer to enjoy the town and the accommodations.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Yufuin Onsen Tsukanoma is situated in Yufu, 43 km from Oita Bank Dome and 1.8 km from Kinrinko Lake. I recently stayed at this onsen resort in Yufuin and it was hands down the best onsen experience I've ever had! The rooms were incredibly spacious, equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a microwave and all cooking essentials. The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!

Assi in Yufu provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. The property features garden and inner courtyard views, and is 43 km from Oita Bank Dome. Assi was a highlight of this trip. She is a little feisty yet friendly cat. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and the host, Michiko-san was very friendly and nice to talk to. I would definitely come back the next time I visit Yufuin again!

Boasting mountain views, Ikkoten provides accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a shared lounge, around 45 km from Oita Bank Dome. The location and serenity were like none other. The staff was so kind and provided an incredible atmosphere. The food was 12/10, I would go back just to try more seasonal favorites.

Situated in Hita, Okuhita Onsen Umehibiki offers 5-star accommodation with a garden and a bar. Featuring a restaurant, the property also has an open-air bath, as well as a sauna and a hot spring bath.... Just everything. The food. The flow. The room. The staff. The view. Just everything.

Karatsu Seaside Hotel offers accommodation in Higashi Karatsu. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. Good service and nice view and room is big. Hotel will provide free cake for check in customers.

Featuring a spa bath, Shikinosato Hanamura is located in Minamioguni. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Really good, nice to have your own "pool" in connection to your room. And it was amazing food, both dinner and breakfast.

Located in Chikushino, 500 metres from Buso-ji Temple, Daimaru Besso has a number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi. The breakfast and dinner were exquisite and the serving staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The futon bed was made to perfection. I would also like to thank this receptionist who is a Korean/American mix (sorry I forgot her name). She is very helpful and explains everything clearly. It makes a huge difference for me who can’t speak Japanese. My stay in Daimaru Besso was very enjoyable and I hope to return back soon.
