Beautiful location right on the lake. Maskeliya is a lovely little town with a lot of great things to do in the surrounding area (Sri Pada, tea plantations, Gartmore Falls). Mountain View rooms were spacious and well equipped. Ishara and her husband, Yugantha, were fantastic hosts - they took care of our every need (e.g., organising transport, tours, food preferences), always with a smile on their face. Yugantha’s food was always delicious, especially his rice and curry.

We had a great 3 night stay at Butterfly Mountian Lake Side. The deck was great and the food and hospitality was over the top. Great service, nice meals and friendly staff.

The hotel is placed near the lake with a beautiful view. The family owning the hotel made the stay an incredible experience by being extremely friendly with us. They made us amazing food which we enjoyed while watching the sunset. Best of luck to them!

Location is beautiful really great views from the rooms and general areas. We stayed there for the walk to Adam's Peak and they we helpful on advice and had a few items to borrow such as torch/headlamp. The bar area was laid back and friendly. The breakfast was great (not included in room). To be honest if you wanted just a couple of chill days especially for a group might be a good booking if you want explore Adam's peak/surrounding area.

La nostra camera aveva una stupenda vista sulla foresta e il rumore del fiume è stato un piacevole accompagnamento. Il proprietario ci ha preparato merenda, cena e snack per la salita all’Adam’s paek e ci ha saputo dare degli ottimi consigli. Si arriva allo start point della salita in 10 minuti a piedi.

Very close to Adam's Peak! We left at 2am to climb up Adam's Peak, and when we came back, the staff prepared a very good and big breakfast for us.
