Set just 3.8 km from Gregory Lake, Ruchi House provides accommodation in Nuwara Eliya with access to barbecue facilities, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. As a solo female traveler, staying here I felt so safe and at home. The owner and his wife are so utterly sweet and hardworking. The owner has a TukTuk and for a very fair price, he picked me up/dropped me off at the train station. On top of this, he offered different excursion options on his TukTuk for tea plantations, hikes, waterfalls, etc. The owner honestly went above and beyond, not only was he a wonderful host, but also a great driver and tour guide. What really touched my heart was when he took me to the Horton Plains National Park and ended up doing the WHOLE hike with me because he did not want me to do it alone and wanted to make sure I was safe. Their home is a very cute 100+-year-old house, with two rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds with warm blankets for the chilly nights. The price includes breakfast and if you have an early excursion/train time they pack you a full breakfast as well! They also offer lunch and dinner, which the wife cooks. It was honestly the best food I had on my trip to Sri Lanka especially the chicken curry and dhal curry.

Medalin Lake Gregory is a guest house situated in the Lake Gregory district of Nuwara Eliya. La stanza era enorme e includeva anche un salotto. La vista sul lago era piacevole e i gestori della struttura sono persone deliziose.

Very Nice place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. The host is very helpful and friendly man. He explained everything about the city and what is worth to see. The room is very clean and comfy. Situato in una buona posizione nel centro di Adams Peak, il Water Side Residence offre il WiFi gratuito in tutte le aree, un ristorante e un parcheggio privato gratuito. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di provare la nuova stanza appena realizzata, possiamo solo dire meravigliosa! Una deliziosa casetta in legno che con il suo balcone si affaccia sulla giungla e sul fiume. Garantisce un relax e una privacy assoluta! Molto buono il servizio bar e ristorante che offre.

Situato a Nuwara Eliya, a 5 km dal Lago Gregory, il Loversleap bungalow offre un salone in comune, un parcheggio privato gratuito e un giardino. Exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful hosts. They went above and beyond to help me when my scooter broke down 25 mins drive away, coming to pick me up with a truck for the scooter and were hugely helpful with local arrangements, suggestions and with making sure I could do my online meeting. Delicious breakfast and sweet staff. Highly recommended!

The best hosts you could wish for. Maybe you can find homes in better location, or fancy hotels but I can assure you that you miss one of the best experience in Sri Lanka if you stay elsewhere. Food is great, the home is warm (which is a good thing in Nuwara Eliya) and comfortable. The host is a former tourguide, so if you are interested in the history and the true current state of Sri Lanka, he will tell you all, show you around and makes sure you leave with a smile on your face. 10/10 , next time we will stay more days there.
