Enjoying a quiet location in the heart of Basel, the Radisson Blu Basel Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the central train station and features a great indoor pool. The location is convenient for reaching the train station and city centre areas. There are tram services just outside the hotel. The swimming pool is of a good size for a proper swim. The fitness centre is adequately equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful

Steinenschanze Stadthotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. It is super clean! People are kind and helpful. Room was nicely warmed and renovated. But we saw not all the rooms are renovated. Location is really good, few minutes walk from center and one bus stop from main train station. However to come to the city center in few minutes there are around 60 stairs, so have that in mind if you are with children or stairs are problem for you.

Occupying a medieval building next to the historic Spalen Gate, this 3-star hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Basel’s Old Town. Wi-Fi is free of charge. Owner was very accomodating and allowed us an extra hour of check out time due to needing the internet. Also, owner went out of his way to get online and secure for us the Basel Card which offered us free bus and discount musuem.
