Xilu Xiaoxie Inn feels like a comfy nest. Once you arrive, you receive a warm welcome and excellent tips for exploring Lijiang and its surroundings. Joye and Kyrie were extremely kind, providing us with good advice and helping us make the most of our short trip. The location is perfect, in a quiet area but very close to the busy streets of Lijiang. Can't recommend more

Located on the edge of the old town close to everything. Accommodation was in a peaceful and serene setting with nice gardens and felt very private. Huge rooms with unique decorations. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend to anyone

I booked the smaller house but got upgraded to the larger house, which was very well-amenitised, very clean and comfortable too. The place really does look exact like the photos online. It took me a while to get used to navigating the old city, but once you do, it’s quite easy to locate. Much quieter than other parts of the old city too, peaceful and with great views. However, the best part of this trip was Sisi, who was the most wonderful host I could’ve asked for. Incredibly kind and helpful, and very generous with her time. I’m so glad that I chose to book this place, both the people and the house made it home for my short 3 nights there :)

Excellent boarding choice in Bai shao. The room is cozy and comfortable with a nice court yard. The hosts are friendly. However, it's regrettable that the host wouldn't serve breakfast any more. Otherwise, having breakfast in the court yard would be a nice experience.

I travelled to Lijiang Old Town with a Chinese friend. The location was very good, close to an entrance gate of the old town, simultaneously it is close to many restaurant and shops. The room was clean and comfortable, a good quality internet is available. The staff, the owners, was very welcoming and helpful. The owner was open to share with the (Pu-er) tea culture of Yunnan province, and invited many times us to be part of a traditional tea ceremony, which was fascinating. As I travelled with a Chinese friend, I did not have any difficulty for communication. One may need to communicate using a translator, or the owners' daughter(kid) may help to be understood.

Nice hotel 10 minutes walk outside of old town. Helpful staff. The room was not so clean, but after mentioning they got ultra cleaned right away.

Carol and Johnson went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable. They linked us up with private hire drivers who drove us from Tiger Leaping Gorge to Lijiang, as well as from Lijiang to Dali. Johnson also helped us book tickets for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (can only be purchased the night before through local WeChat accounts), and even went with us to the ticket counter at Lijiang Romance Park as Chinese ID was required to collect tickets. The breakfasts they prepared were warm, nourishing Yunnan specialities. They had splendid recommendations for local restaurants and gifts to buy for the folks back home. They are generous, open-hearted people who love company and good conversations.
