Check in was very smooth and the room was brilliant. lots of space, comfortable beds, private onsen was wonderful!! The dinner in the bedroom was exceptional (8 courses!) and the breakfast too. The lady who was looking after us was so friendly and helpful. highly recommend the hotel for a wonderful experience.

The Onsen itself has an indoor and outdoor part, the latter is really nice to sit in the hot water and relax. The Hakone open air museum is 30 minutes walk and worth a visit. In the town you find some shops and of course a 7-11. The bus runs frequently to Odawara station, where the Shinkhasen Tokyo – Kyoto/Osaka runs.BenediktGermany

It was a bit hard to get to, but at the same time that's also made it great as you can easily relax, away from touristy spots. The bus stop is almost in front of the hotel, so it's not bad, but it will take about an hour to get from Odawara Station to the hotel by bus. It's close to Lake Ashi (one bus ride away), so if you need to go sightseeing (Hakone Cruise), it's not to far.

Love both the outdoor and indoor onsens though they aren't huge, they are well-equipped and clean. Nice environment throughout. Our room for 3 pax is big enough with private onsen in balcony . Hotel serves buffet dinner and breakfast with great variety of food . Value for money .

There is a convenience store and plenty of restaurants nearby, also there's a nice path next to the river where they got cherry blossoms and those are also illuminated at night. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel also included shuttles to Gora station and Odawara station.

Breakfast was good and dinner was a bonus, with beautiful home cooked food. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. When staying at the Guest House you also have access to the onsen at another facility ~1km away.CateAustralia
