Convenient location near JR and other stations. Staff are nice and helpful, and always provide advice for my enquiries. My kids love bunked bed much. With washer/dryer facility good for long stay. Overall clean and neat.

Located in Tokyo and with Jinnai Shrine reachable within a 3-minute walk, HotelCO Kuramae ホテル コ 蔵前 provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. The spacious room is well taken care of and clearly very new. The photos are exactly as it is. You can choose to get the room cleaned daily. It is a clean and well decorated space. We used the projector to watch Netflix at night, and took baths every day we were there. The bathtub takes forever to fill, but it is a nice "onsen" feeling after a day of walking. The morning breakfasts were delicious and the attention very polite. Traditional Japanese breakfast that is already set from 8:30 to 10:30am. We really liked the style and the quality was very good. Simple foods, but everything you need to start the day with a happy belly. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, even with a language barrier. Even for simple things like wishing a good day, we used Google Translate but the good intentions were clear. They also helped us bring our suitcases to the taxi and spoke to the driver to make sure we were going to the right destination. They also brought our suitcases up and down the stairs (no elevator, be ready for the classic Japanese steep stairs!) We also ordered something online and had it delivered at the hotel and they brought it to our room once it arrived. We enjoyed being within walking (~15-20 min) distance from a couple of our favourite neighbourhoods. The metro is also ~12 min away. It has a Family Market right across the street so if you need anything, you just need to come down.

Conveniently set in Tokyo, &Here TOKYO UENO provides 3-star accommodations close to Ryuseido Shinjo-in Temple and Shitamachi Museum. We arrived on what was actually the official grand opening day! Didn't know that. But they had put out flowers and sculptures in the foyer. The staff were amazing. Very helpful. I asked about baseball tickets and the staff member checked with her colleagues then ran up to the room with a map for a ticket reseller nearby. Room was great, good size. More than double the size of a similar priced room in Shinjuku.

Well set in Tokyo, APA Hotel Ueno Ekiminami provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and free WiFi. Location is perfect, lot of food and attraction nearby. The hotel is small but it is known with a reasonable price, definitely would recommend for solo travel.

Ideally located in Tokyo, APA Hotel Ueno Hirokoji has an American breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. The room is very comfortable, very decent clean and perfect for staying for one. Staffs are very helpful. Location is a little bit of walk from Ueno market but surrounds seem to be safe and walkable. Have a bathtub is a plus!
